Designed for comfort, longevity, and timeless style, each piece is created specifically for you — not mass-produced, not held in excess inventory. Small-batch and custom production allows every garment to receive the attention it deserves.
Materials are selected with purpose, including reclaimed, recycled, eco-conscious, and premium-quality fibres. Skilled artisans are involved in every step, ensuring refined construction, thoughtful details, and enduring quality.
This is slow fashion as luxury — garments meant to be worn, loved, and kept.

Our Story
Bear & Bone began in 2019 with a hand-me-down sewing machine and fabric scraps from my mom — who has been sewing and quilting her entire life. What started as a slow, creative side project in the city grew piece by piece, guided by a simple goal: to create clothing that is both beautiful and comfortable, designed for a wide range of shapes, sizes, and heights.
That mission was shaped by my own experience — struggling to find clothing that fit my long limbs without feeling like I was preparing for a flood. Fit, comfort, and thoughtful proportions became central to every design.
In 2021, my fiancé and I returned to my hometown of Quadra Island, British Columbia, and moved onto my parents’ homestead. It was there that Bear & Bone truly began to take shape.
With my mom’s lifelong expertise as a seamstress, she joined me in bringing my designs to life. Together, we began crafting garments with a shared commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and intentional making — working side by side, turning ideas into thoughtfully made pieces.
What began with scraps and a single sewing machine has grown into a small, family-run studio rooted in slow fashion, timeless design, and clothing made to truly fit and last.
